Default Sony TRV950 - resolution in MPEG mode

Hi All,

I've been recommended to look at this camcoder - Sony TRV950. I liked this
phrase.

http://www.camcorderinfo.com/content...der_review.htm

"MPEG Recording / USB Streaming

You can also record MPEG videos to the Memory Stick, in either 320 x 240
resolution or in 240 x 180 resolution. The MPEG videos are only limited by
the size of the Memory Stick. You transfer the MPEG videos from the
camcorder to the computer just like the stills. Although they are neat, the
quality is horrible and would only really be acceptable for distribution on
the web. The DCR-TRV950 also includes USB streaming, this allows you to use
the camcorder as a web cam or as an internet videophone through the USB
port."

At least it's honestly...))) But still so far from 480 lines. So we see that
this camcoder CAN write in these resolutions, but these resolutions and
stream have been made as a standard for ZR80/85/90.

By the way. according to several reviews this camcoder is not so bad, some
still images taken by it are better than the same made by GL2..

Dmitri.

When using the memory stick the camera is operating like a cheap digital
still camera with video mode. When using tape you will be getting a full
720x575 image, although the real horizontal resolution will be more likely
500 (if it's a DV cmaera) rather than 720.
