Default 30fps video to UK PAL DVD judder problem

Hi all
I have a Sanyo Xacti camcorder which produces excellent looking video
when connected to PC or HDTV but I have a problem when creating a DVD
for UK PAL player. In any moving scene the video has a jerky effect as if
1 in every 6 frames has been removed, I'm wondering if in the transcoding
that
the frametrate has been dropped to 25fps to play on a UK system and if
this is
the case if there is any way to create a DVD which will have smooth video
motion.
I'm using Nero 8 which came with the camera to create the DVD.
Any help with this would be very much appreciated.

The honest answer is that I don't know, but....
In another thread I guided another poster in how to convert video with
an excellent free converter.
This is the download, it is freeware and it is simple to use:
http://www.softpedia.com/progScreens...hot-93342.html
The site has a screengrab and You can do a bit of googling to learn about
it.

I created a throwaway google email account to post a full guide
GoTo: Google
Click on mail link
Enter user nym of: wintvrepair )
password: usenetng
The first email has the full guide, though it was compiled for the other
poster and his device, it's worth giving a try with your problem.
In your case follow the guide, but import either the original footage
or the vob files from the DVD.
Then select to create either "DVD PAL" which will produce converted
VOB folders, or select from drop down to create an MPEG2 and
tweak the settings - bitrate, aspect and framerate (25fps)
It's free and it works, give it a try.
