The TBC device is perfectly legal (a device sold as a "Macrovision
defter" is not BTW, although difficult to stop being sold) but what
you might wish to use it for makes it illegal, just as it's perfectly
legal to own petrol but if you then decide to copy a certain Mr
Molotov...!
