Default Which software

Okay all valid responses guys, please excuse my ignorance and lack of
detail, this is all very new.

My aim is to transfer family videos to DVD noth much more ambitious at this
stage.

Bit of basic editing and puting background music on

Also would like to be able to convert some footage to managable sizes for
Web use

My PC is a P4 3 gig with 1000 ram, may be upgrading within the next year

I have absolutely no experience in Video work, but have quite decent
knowledge of photography
and use Photoshop CS for that side

I have Pinnacle 8 but only the SE version, any recommendations or should I
go for the full version

That's terribly ambiguous !

Hint : Wouldn't it be better to post your editing reqiurements and
your PC spec, then loads of people can chip in with something which
pretty much precisely matches your present and future needs.

Cheers - Neil
