Anyone here actually use these cards with Premiere Pro 1.5?
I'm a bit worried that a few 'hard-core' Matrox users I know
say the RT's have always been very 'picky' with hardware
(motherboard etc). Does Premiere Pro 1.5 still 'integrate'
better (eg show real-time transitions etc) with the RT's than
any other card, or have Adobe made it work with other
semi/pro (or whatever the marketing hype is) cards?
Cheers,
That's all arse about face if I may say so ! :~)
Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 *will* work in RT without any 'extra boards' [1]
_BUT_ it NEEDS a high spec' system to do so well [1] (ie. duel processor
motherboard and the such) but by using a RT board the RT work is taken away
to some extent from the main system CPU. Now the problem is not with Adobe
but with the various RT board suppliers, many are now developing and pushing
their own editing software and are or have dropped support for (what is now
their competitor) Adobe.
Matrox seems to be the only RT board supplier who now bundle Premiere.
[1] as long as your system meets the minimum spec'.
[2] there are companies such as 'ADS tech' who bundle Premiere with a plain
IEEE1394 board. |
